⚠ Read This First — When to Seek a Deliverance Minister
Self-deliverance is powerful and biblical. However, some situations require the support of an experienced minister. Consider booking a session with Simon if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Severe trauma, ritual abuse, or deep occult involvement in your past
- Inability to speak or pray aloud during spiritual attack
- Multiple failed attempts at self-deliverance without lasting breakthrough
- Suicidal thoughts or extreme mental health crises alongside spiritual oppression
- A heavy, persistent spiritual resistance that will not lift
A guided deliverance session provides discernment, authority, and spiritual support that self-deliverance alone cannot always provide. Book a confidential online session →
Preparation
Before You Begin: Set the Atmosphere
Preparation is not optional — it is part of the warfare. These four conditions create the spiritual environment for breakthrough.
Find a Private Space
Go somewhere you can pray out loud without distraction. Lock the door. Turn off your phone. Be fully present.
Put On Worship Music
Demons despise the presence of God. Worship music creates a powerful spiritual atmosphere for breakthrough.
Have Your Bible Open
You are going into battle. The Word of God is your sword (Ephesians 6:17 NKJV). Have it ready and speak it out.
Come With a Sincere Heart
God sees your heart and cannot be fooled. Come with genuine repentance. Half-hearted prayers do not break spiritual chains.
The Prayer Guide
Self-Deliverance Prayer: Step by Step
Salvation & Recommitment to Christ
All self-deliverance prayer begins at the cross. If you have never given your life to Jesus — or if you have drifted away — begin here. Without Christ as your Lord, you have no legal authority in the spirit realm to command demons. This is your foundation.
"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9 — NKJVLord Jesus, I come before You today and I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I repent of my sins — both known and unknown — and I turn away from them now. I believe You died for me on the cross, that You rose from the dead, and that You are Lord over all. I confess You as my Lord and Saviour. Come into my heart, cleanse me, and make me whole. I am Yours, completely and forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Say every prayer out loud. Spiritual authority is released through your spoken declarations. Romans 10:9 makes this clear — bold confession carries power. Whispers do not command demons. Spoken authority does.
Forgiveness & Repentance
Unforgiveness is one of the most common open doors for demonic oppression. You cannot walk in deliverance while harbouring bitterness or unconfessed sin. Jesus was direct and unambiguous about this requirement.
"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses."
Mark 11:25 — NKJVLord Jesus, I choose by an act of my will to forgive every person who has ever hurt me, betrayed me, abused me, or wounded me. I name them now before You: [say their names aloud]. I release them from my judgement. I will no longer hold their offences against them. Father, I also ask You to forgive me for my own sins — especially [confess them specifically by name]. I receive Your full forgiveness now by faith. I am washed clean by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Renounce All Occult & Sinful Doorways
Demons enter through open doors — sin, trauma, ancestral iniquity, occult activity, and ungodly covenants. Every self-deliverance prayer must include renunciation. You must close every door by naming and renouncing it out loud, stripping the enemy of his legal right to remain.
"And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them."
Acts 19:18–19 — NKJVIn the name of Jesus Christ, I renounce and repent of every sin that has opened a door to the enemy in my life. I renounce all involvement in the occult — horoscopes, tarot cards, ouija boards, witchcraft, Freemasonry, psychics, and all false religions. I renounce every ungodly soul tie formed through sexual immorality with [name them]. I renounce all generational sin passed through my family line — including [name what you know: alcoholism, sexual sin, occult, rage, poverty, etc.]. I close every door I have opened to the enemy through my sin. These doors are shut by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Put On the Full Armour of God
Before you command demons to leave, you must clothe yourself in God's armour. This is a declaration of spiritual reality that positions you correctly before entering direct warfare. Do not skip this step.
"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Ephesians 6:11 — NKJVLord Jesus, I put on Your full armour right now by faith. I place the helmet of salvation over my mind to protect my thoughts. I put on the breastplate of righteousness to guard my heart. I gird my waist with the belt of truth. I put on the shoes of the gospel of peace. I take up the shield of faith to quench every fiery dart of the enemy. And I take the sword of the Spirit — Your Word — as my offensive weapon. I stand fully armed in Your strength and authority, not my own. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Now Command the Enemy to Go
This is where many people hesitate — and it is where breakthrough begins. You must command demons out loud, with bold authority, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Break Generational Curses
Generational curses are legal rights the enemy claims over your life based on the sins of your ancestors. Your self-deliverance prayer must include severing these bloodline connections completely. Christ has already paid the price — you must enforce it.
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'"
Galatians 3:13 — NKJVIn the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I break every generational curse operating in my bloodline right now. I sever every evil cord and every demonic inheritance passed down through my family line — on my father's side and my mother's side — going back to the fourth generation and beyond. Every curse of [poverty, sickness, addiction, sexual sin, mental illness, premature death — name what applies to you] — I break you NOW by the power of the blood of Jesus! You have no legal right over me. Christ became a curse for me so that I could walk free. I am redeemed by His blood! In Jesus' name, Amen.
Break Ungodly Soul Ties
Ungodly soul ties — formed through sexual sin, abusive relationships, or controlling spiritual connections — create open channels for demonic transfer. These must be broken by name during your self-deliverance prayer.
"Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
1 Corinthians 6:18 — NKJVIn the name of Jesus Christ, I break and sever every ungodly soul tie between myself and [name every person]. I renounce every sexual, emotional, and spiritual bond that was formed outside of God's covenant. I take back every part of my soul that was given to them, and I release every part of their soul that has been attached to me. I declare these ties completely severed and destroyed by the blood of Jesus. I am free from every ungodly spiritual connection. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Command Demons to Leave — Direct Warfare Prayer
This is the command phase of your self-deliverance prayer. You are not requesting or asking — you are ordering demons out under the delegated authority of Jesus Christ. Speak boldly. Increase in intensity. Do not stop if you feel resistance — that is a sign it is working.
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons."
Mark 16:17 — NKJVIn the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I take full authority over every unclean spirit, every demon, every principality and power that has operated in my life. I bind you now by the blood of Jesus Christ. You have no legal right to remain in me, on me, or around me. Every spirit of [fear, rejection, lust, depression, addiction, witchcraft, infirmity, poverty — name every spirit you sense] — I command you to come out of me RIGHT NOW in the name of Jesus! GO! You are evicted from my life! The blood of Jesus Christ is against you! In Jesus' mighty name — GO NOW!
Repeat this command as many times as needed. Deliverance often comes in waves. Keep commanding until you feel a clear release or deep peace settles over you. You may cough, yawn, cry, or feel physical sensations — these are signs of breakthrough.
Seal Your Deliverance & Invite the Holy Spirit
After casting out demons, you must fill every empty place with the Holy Spirit. Jesus gave a clear warning: a house left empty becomes re-occupied. This final step in your self-deliverance prayer is critical to lasting freedom.
"When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself."
Matthew 12:43–45 — NKJVLord Jesus, I thank You for the deliverance You have worked in me today. I ask You now to seal every place from which a demon has departed. Close every door, fill every empty room in my spirit with Your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, I invite You right now to come and fill every part of me — my mind, my emotions, my body, my spirit, my will. I yield to You completely. Have full authority over every area of my life. I declare that I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. The enemy is no longer welcome here and has no place in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Staying Free
After Your Self-Deliverance Prayer: How to Stay Free
Deliverance opens a door to freedom — but staying free requires intentional discipleship. These six steps are essential after every self-deliverance prayer session.
📖 Read the Word Daily
Your mind must be renewed with Scripture. Romans 12:2 (NKJV) is your mandate. The Bible is your ongoing weapon against the enemy's return.
🙏 Maintain a Prayer Life
Stay in constant communication with God. A strong prayer life keeps your spirit alert and your connection to heaven open.
✂️ Cut Off Old Patterns
Remove every open door — people, media, habits, and places that fed the bondage. You cannot stay free while feeding what bound you.
⛪ Get Planted in a Church
Isolation is the enemy's preferred weapon against the newly delivered. Get connected to a Spirit-filled, Bible-believing church community.
💬 Get Accountability
Find a trusted believer or minister you can speak to honestly about your walk, your struggles, and your continued freedom.
🛡️ Walk in Authority Daily
Remind yourself daily who you are in Christ. You are not a victim — you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37 NKJV).
