Feeling Under Spiritual Attack?

Many believers quietly battle confusion, heaviness, resistance, and fear without realising they are under a spiritual attack. The enemy loves to wear down your mind, attack your emotions, and frustrate your walk with God, especially when you are trying to pray, worship, or move forward in your calling.

In this post we will walk through 7 clear signs of spiritual attack and how to respond with the armour of God, the Word, and the authority you have in Jesus Christ. If these signs describe your life right now, you are not crazy and you are not alone — the Lord is ready to strengthen you, expose the attack, and lead you into freedom.

2) Repent & Renounce Open Doors

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal sins, agreements, and compromises.

Practical Checklist

Work through each step prayerfully. Use the boxes to track progress (local only).

In-Depth Deliverance Prayer (Use Aloud)

Preparation (pray aloud):
Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You now in faith. I believe You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins and rose again. Your blood cleanses me (1 John 1:7, 9 NKJV). I submit to God and resist the devil (James 4:7). I receive the authority You give me over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Fill this time with Your Spirit and truth. Amen.

1) Dedication & Surrender
Father, in Jesus’ name, I present my body, soul, and spirit to You (Romans 12:1). I yield my mind, will, and emotions; my eyes, ears, mouth, hands, and feet. I dedicate my home, room, devices, and possessions to You. Jesus, You are Lord of my life. Holy Spirit, lead me into all truth (John 16:13).

2) Repentance (turning from sin)
Father, I repent for all sin—known and unknown. I confess pride, unbelief, fear, bitterness, unforgiveness, sexual sin, occult involvement, dishonesty, and any agreement with darkness. I turn from these and ask for cleansing by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:9). I renounce every practice You call abomination (Deut 18:9–12), and I choose holiness.

3) Forgiveness (releasing others)
Lord, by an act of my will, I forgive every person who has wounded me.
I release them to You and bless them in Jesus’ name (Matthew 6:14–15).
[Name them now out loud.]
I ask You to heal my heart. Remove bitterness and replace it with Your love (Ephesians 4:31–32).

4) Renunciation (breaking agreements & legal rights)
In the name of Jesus Christ, I renounce and break every agreement I have made with the kingdom of darkness—spoken or unspoken, remembered or forgotten. I renounce fear (2 Timothy 1:7), shame and condemnation (Romans 8:1), occult and witchcraft, divination and sorcery, new age practices, ungodly vows, soul ties, sexual immorality, hatred, envy, jealousy, addiction, and every unclean practice.
I renounce every word curse and self-curse I have spoken over my life.
I renounce every inner vow (“I will never…”, “I can’t…”).
I renounce all ungodly covenants and dedications, in my life and bloodline.
By the blood of Jesus, I cancel the handwriting of requirements against me (Colossians 2:14–15) and declare every claim of the enemy void.

5) Break Soul Ties & Clean House
In Jesus’ name, I break every ungodly soul tie formed through sin, trauma, control, manipulation, or sexual immorality. I send back what is theirs and take back what is mine, cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
Holy Spirit, show me anything in my home that must go (Acts 19:19). I commit to remove items, media, and symbols tied to darkness.

6) Close Doors & Cancel Assignments
I shut every open door to the enemy: through sin, unforgiveness, occult involvement, agreements, and trauma. I place the blood of Jesus over those doorways (Exodus 12:13). I cancel every assignment of oppression, torment, backlash, and retaliation against me and my household; it shall not prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

7) Command & Expulsion (speak firmly, out loud)
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 16:17), I command every unclean spirit that has gained access to my life to go now.

  • Spirit of fear, anxiety, panic—go.

  • Spirit of heaviness, depression, despair—go.

  • Spirit of infirmity and affliction—go.

  • Spirit behind nightmares, night terrors, and sleep paralysis—go; my sleep belongs to the Lord (Psalm 4:8).

  • Spirits of occult, witchcraft, control, divination—go.

  • Unclean spirits of lust, perversion, addiction—go.

  • Spirits of rejection, shame, condemnation—go.

  • Spirits that entered through trauma—go.
I forbid transfer, splitting, or hiding. I send you to where Jesus commands. I belong to Christ; you have no legal right. Go now in Jesus’ name.

8) Mind Renewal & Strongholds
Father, I bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:3–5). I tear down strongholds, arguments, and lies I have believed. I declare:

  • I have peace with God through Jesus (Romans 5:1).

  • I am loved, chosen, and accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:4–6).

  • I have authority to resist the enemy (James 4:7; Luke 10:19).

  • Whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36).

9) Filling of the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit, fill every place that has been emptied (Luke 11:24–26). Fill my mind with truth, my heart with love, my body with strength. Restore joy, purity, and boldness. Produce in me the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Galatians 5:22–23).

10) Armor of God
I put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18):
the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. I stand firm and will not fear.

11) Blessing Over My Home & Sleep
Father, I declare my home is a dwelling of peace and protection (Psalm 91). Let angelic protection surround us. I dedicate my bedroom to You; may Your presence rest here. I will lie down in peace and sleep, for You alone make me dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).

12) Thanksgiving & Seal
Thank You, Jesus, for Your blood and victory at the cross. I seal this ministry time under the blood of Jesus. I speak life and blessing over myself and my family. All glory to God. Amen.

(Optional) Daily Declarations

  • “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

  • “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17).

  • “I overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony” (Revelation 12:11).

  • “The Lord is my refuge and fortress” (Psalm 91:2).
